About Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS)

Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE) is conducted two time in a year it is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). Eligibility Criteria to apply for UPSC CDS Exams

Age Criteria for UPSC CDS Exams
For Indian Military Academy (CDS - IMA) the age limit is 19-24 years.
For Indian Naval Academy (CDS - INA) the age limit is 19-22 years and
For Officers' Training Academy (CDS - OTA) the age limit is 19-25 years.

Educational Qualification required for UPSC CDS Exams
For IMA & Officers Training Academy posts candidates should have degree from a recognized University, for Air Force Academy candidates should have degree from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering and for Indian Naval Academy candidates should have degree in Engineering.

Application Fee for UPSC CDS Exams
General and OBC category candidates have to pay Rs.200/- only as application fee either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash or through net banking of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card. There is no application fee for SC/ST/Female candidates as they are exempted from payment of application fee.
