Qualification: A minimum of 50% aggregate in a recognized university degree is required to be eligible for the IBPS Clerk Examination.
To be eligible for the IBPS Clerk Examination, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Age: Candidates should be between 20 to 28 years of age, with certain age relaxations applicable as per government regulations.

Method of Examination for IBPS Clerk
Now the IBPS is conducting the examinations online for IBPS Clerk, Tara Institute is providing free online test for the perfection in their students. This online test is provided free of cost to all students. Along with online test, study materials are also being provided for IBPS Clerk. There is a provision of negative marking in Common Written Examination (CWE) for IBPS Clerk.
Scheme of Examination
The online test consists of Objective Paper of 200 maximum marks. The test areas in the objective type test of Bank Clerk Exam include tests from amongst Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English language, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. In Objective Paper the candidate have to be answered 200 Questions in 120 Minutes.

Penalty for Wrong Answers
There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.
Common Interview:
Candidates who have been short listed in the examination for IBPS Clerk will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organizations. Interviews will be conducted at select centres. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the short listed candidates in the call letter.
Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from authorized IBPS website www.ibps.in. Please note that any request regarding change in date, centre etc. of interview will not be entertained. However the conducting agencies reserve the right to change the date/ venue/ time/ centre etc. of interview or hold supplementary process for particular date / session / venue / centre / set of candidates at its discretion, under unforeseen circumstances, if any.
The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EXSM candidates). The weightage (ratio) of CWE (exam) and interview will be 80:20. For each State/UT, the combined final scores of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of total scores obtained by the candidates in CWE Clerk-III and Interview. A candidate should qualify both in the CWE and interview to be short listed for subsequent allotment process, details of which will be available subsequently on IBPS website.

The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equipercentile method.
V. Cutoff Score
Each candidate will have to secure a minimum score in each test and also on total to be considered to be called for interview. For each State/UT, mere passing in individual tests may not be sufficient as candidates should also score sufficiently high on Total in order of merit to be called for interview.
